I remember when I went to Maryland in August 2001 to visit my uncle there, and it was extremely hot. As the climate in Baltimore in December? I'm curious because I am traveling in Maryland next month interested.

May vary. Can live in Baltimore all my life, I say that our winter is usually a little later - a lot of snow in January and February, we had to ask a relatively tame winters the last two years, and many of the same. However, it is probably a safe bet at this point expect high in the low 50 or 40 years, hovering around zero at night.
